Our Hereford stud has more recent beginnings (over 35 years) but the same criteria applies- Our cattle need to be good-doing. 
We have paid particular attention to calving ease and birth weight with the Herefords. Many of our bulls are in the top 5% for the breed for these traits- ideal for your heifers, as well as cows.

We often use yearlings over our cows, with great success.
